1 Minute Review: The Road to Yesterday by LM Montgomery

I finished The Road to Yesterday this morning by LM Montgomery.  I picked this up a couple of months ago in the used section of Barnes & Noble.  The Anne of Green Gables series has always been one of my favorites, but I’ve never ventured into some of the short story books Montgomery wrote about the other people in the towns that Anne lived in.

This book was a lot of fun.  It was innocent and refreshing, and a quick read.  Sometimes it’s nice to deal with simple intrigues and gossip, instead of the more complex writing I have been reading as of late. However, as usual, I found Montgomery’s writing to be on target and her stories to be clear and tidy.  I particularly recommend the book for the last 4 stories which are well written and keep the reader engaged throughout.

I’ll definitely be checking out more of Montgomery’s books, and I suggest you do the same if you’re an Anne fan as I am!
